  • Localisation as a tangible challenge and evolving process

The atmosphere was marked by sincerity, depth, and openness. It was a space where diverse perspectives were welcomed, and genuine dialogue flourished.

Moderation and Expert Facilitation

The event was moderated by Anton Drobovych and Denis Poltavets from The Aspen Institute Kyiv. Denis Poltavets, Director of Programme Development, shared:

“This event is designed to help better understand the field of humanitarian response and the conditions in which organisations operate and develop today. It is important for us not only to analyse the challenges, but also to create a space for exchanging experiences and finding common solutions. It is particularly valuable that the Alliance supported the idea of holding this dialogue — frank, deep and focused on joint action.”

Participants’ Reflections

“This was a wonderful opportunity to connect. The format was extremely effective — everyone had the chance to speak about essential values like conscience, justice, and humanity. It’s especially meaningful to see organisations that care for those who care for others.”

— Natalia Tulinova, ZDOROVI National Agency
“The format was excellent. I heard so many insightful thoughts that I’ll be reflecting on for some time. These kinds of meetings spark new ideas and inspiration. I’m especially grateful to meet the new members — they bring great strength to the Alliance.”

— Artem Kostyuchenko, Ukrainian Educational Platform

Partnership Through Dialogue

“We deeply value this new wave of expansion within the Alliance. It brings fresh ideas and new energy for our continued development. With a localisation strategy and an annual operational plan in place, we aim to create inclusive, sustainable conditions for collaboration. This meeting was both foundational and visionary — and, above all, practical. I sincerely thank everyone for their engagement.”

— Mila Leonova, Director of the Alliance UA CSO
