Senior humanitarian leader with 20 years of global humanitarian experience and has managed humanitarian and recovery responses across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean. Organizations: Worked with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and other Red Cross Movement partners, NORCAP/CashCap, Save the Children, and other organizations. Led high-impact assessments, coordinated inter-agency platforms, including Cash Working Groups, and guided strategic and operational decision-making in complex crises.
Marga is a recognized expert in cash and market-based programming and social protection and integrated programming.
She is a strong advocate for locally led responses and national leadership. Her focus is advancing global policy and operational models linking humanitarian action with shock-responsive social protection systems and sustainable financing.
Education
Holds a Master’s in Management of Humanitarian Responses, a Peace Observer Diploma, and training in humanitarian diplomacy and social protection.
